Philanthropy

The Okanogan Family Faire is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization registered in the state of Washington, Okanogan County. The purpose of this charitable corporation is to provide community events which support Faire's vision of education on a broad range of traditional, rural, economic, and spiritual values that reflect respect for the diversity of all people, wildlife and earth.

In addition to community events, Okanogan Family Faire provides philanthropy through annual Grants and Scholarships. Philanthropy is fundamental to reinforcing the Fair’s vision and educating the larger community about that vision. It helps the Faire extend its sense of community and create harmonious relationships with its neighbors and beyond. Philanthropy provides the means to develop programs beyond the Faire events that are consistent with the organization’s non-profit purposes and deeply held values.

Grants
Since 2009, Okanogan Family Faire, through it’s Grant Committee, has donated over $435,000 to local non-profits and community-based organizations such as the Tonasket Co-op, Green Okanogan and the Community Cultural Center along with arts & education programs.

Scholarships
Each year Okanogan Family Faire offers 3 scholarships to Washington State High School Seniors and 2 scholarships for continued education. The Scholarships are awarded based on the applicants dedication to service in the community.

“I really appreciate the Faire, I grew up attending, going out of their way to invest in my future through a scholarship. It's just one of the many ways they have contributed to the success of my community.”
