Service Animals

We welcome service animals at Faire and ask that you check them in at the gate upon arrival.
Under the ADA, a service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work  or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person's disability.

Emotional support, therapy, comfort or companion animals are NOT considered service animals under the ADA and are not allowed on site. In addition, if a service animal is out of control or unattended  and the handler does not take effective action to control it, staff may request that the animal be removed from the premises, in accordance with ADA rules and regulations. For more information, please visit: https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-faqs/

In accordance with ADA rules and regulations, please be aware, upon entry, staff will inquire about animals brought on site. We offer a tag that allows other Faire staff and volunteers to readily identify that you have already checked in at the gate and we have talked with you about your service animal. The identification is not required, but you both will have a much better time if we can clearly see this is a service dog and no additional intervention is required.

Non-approved dogs will be turned away at the gate. There are multiple kennels and shelters nearby. If you need a copy of the available places, locally, to board your pets, feel free to contact us. Our Faire manager, security officials or Board of Director president will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
